I was able to catch the last day of the Quicksilver Pro NY and see the semi's and finals. The waves were at their best 6-8ft with firing barrels. The pros had a field day with the conditions. Kelly pulled off a 540 air which I was lucky to get images of in the final minute of semi finals against Taj Burrow. Owen Wright sealed the deal winning the first Quicksilver Pro NY beating Kelly Slater; exited water with broken board. Congrats to OWEN WRIGHT!

It was a tough day in Ocean City with heavey rains and heavey crowds. I just sat down in my seat when I saw the frontal system coming, minutes later everyone was evacuated from beach. Which sucked, but I was able to meet Chad Kagy (Pro BMX Rider) and Bucky Lasek / Mitchie Brusco (Pro Skaters)on the boards waiting out the bad weather. I had great seats just above the vert ramp in reserved seating. I was able to snag some great images of the guys getting tweaked airs above the lip of ramp. Also, , I was able to meet several pro riders like Shaun White... nice.

This was my first time witnessing a skateboarding vert contest. These guys were killing it with sick airs. The stoke was high.
